John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has touched a lot of people by his lyrics. Most of his songs were inspired by Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in affection with Colorado and then settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired many to visit Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared the following: John Denver was by far one of the top artists who represented Colorado. Denver is the Hall of Fames' first inductee, was honored by the honor in 2011. For many, Denver is the image of Colorado. Through my travels I've encountered people from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell people you're from Colorado the first words they'll say is"Oh John Denver. Brown said. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short career performing in small folk-based group included Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the track, however Denver recognized that the song could turn into a hit once he heard an earlier version. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days afterward.
